Our guest house
Situated in the town centre “Dom Michalskiego” (Michalski House) is one of the oldest houses in Kazimierz. It dates from the end of the 16th century and remained unchanged except for the addition of modern sanitary and heating facilities. There are still interesting period features to admire, for example a unique beautifully carved renaissance column between two living room windows.
For more than 30 years the house had been home to the restaurant “Swojska” – very well known to locals and many holidaymakers. The restaurant was run by Jan Michalski – hence the name of the guest house now.

Accommodation
A few years ago the house was renovated and refurbished and since then is being used as a small, family run guest house.
We have 4 cosy bedrooms. Each room has multi-channel satellite TV, a radio and a fridge or a fridge freezer. There are tea making facilities and basic crockery and cutlery in every room. All rooms are
en suite (shower room) and have balconies with lovely views on the town’s other picturesque old houses and churches.
Ironing facilities (iron + ironing board) and a toaster are also provided and available for communal use.
Guests can also enjoy our big garden with benches, hammocks and barbecue facilities.
There is a safe parking space for your car.

*There is a possibility of creating one extra sleeping space in the family room –a futon chair can be converted into a bed. The room is then suitable for a family of one or two adults and two small children.

Smoking is not permitted in any of the room, we don’t mind if you smoke on the balcony.

Please note: we do not offer any meals at Michalski House and there are no cooking facilities in the rooms. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes near by. The closest restaurant is next door and many others within a walking distance. The nearest bakery (2 minutes walk) offers a choice of hot breakfast dishes such as for example scrambled eggs, as do many other restaurants and cafes here.
There are plenty of shops in the neighbourhood so you can stock your fridge - fresh warm bread and rolls are available as early as 7 o’clock in the morning.

Pets
Pets are welcome as long as they are not too noisy and too sensitive to outdoor and household noises (people talking, other dogs barking, traffic etc.), so they are not getting upset themselves and not upsetting our other guests. There are two dogs living on the premises.


On request we can organize:

•    day trips to explore the beautiful surroundings of Kazimierz (walking or cycling)
•    horse drawn carriage rides in the summer
•    horse drawn sleigh rides in the winter
•    barbecue or traditional Polish bonfire in our garden
•    plein-air panting workshops

60 zl per person per night thus:

Children under the age of 6 – no charge
Rates can be reduced if your stay is a long one. Our regulars are very welcome and get special deals.
